Dr. Cai graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with specialties in acupuncture, Tuina and traditional herbal medicine in 1991. He was a distinguished lecturer and practitioner at the university and its teaching hospital. For the past 19 years, he has established his own hospital and herbal company in China and also has a private practice in the Washington DC area. He is currently a research consultant at the George Washington University (GWU) Medical Center on an acupuncture clinical trial sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He also serves as an Associate Editor of Chinese Materia Medica published by Oxford University Press in 2005.
With over 19 years experience, Dr Cai has developed a unique style of acupuncture with precise diagnosis system, effective point selection and combination, and refined needling techniques.
