Dr. Cai graduated from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with specialties in acupuncture, Tuina and traditional herbal medicine in 1991. He was a distinguished lecturer and practitioner at the university and its teaching hospital. For the past 16 years, he has established his own hospital and herbal company in China and also has a private practice in the Washington DC area. He is currently a research consultant at the George Washington University (GWU) Medical Center on an acupuncture clinical trial sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He also serves as an Associate Editor of Chinese Materia Medica published by Oxford University Press in 2005. With over 16 years experience, Dr Cai has developed a unique style of acupuncture (Acutherapy) with precise diagnosis system, effective point selection and combination, and refined needling techniques. He has helped many patients with pain, overweight, stress, infertility and most female problems.
Dr. Liz Long O.M.D. L.Ac.
Licensed acupuncturist in MD and DC

Dr. Long served as a medical doctor in China. She is a licensed acupuncturist in DC and MD. She graduated from JingHua Medical University in China in 1991 and worked as an internal physician at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine teaching hospital. Since Chinese medicine is used very much in conjunction with the western medicine in taking care of health problems in China, she built up a solid foundation in her early practice years. In addition, she studied and practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine in the same hospital with Doctor Jiasan Yang, chairperson of the Acupuncture Department and well known lecturer in China. Since coming to the United States, Dr. Long has worked as a research fellow at University of Kentucky Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology, for a number of years. At the same time, she also practiced acupuncture and herbal medicine in the Chinese Medicine Center at UK. She started her full time acupuncture practice in the DC area since 1997 with a world-renowned acupuncturist and herbalist (Dr. Jing N. Wu). From 1998 to 2000 she also served as a research consultant at the George Washington University (GWU) Medical Center on an acupuncture clinical trial sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Long's background in both western and eastern medicine helped her successfully integrate both in her practice.
